Have an eye care-related question? We have the answer. Check out these FAQs and give us a call today for more information!

  • How often do I need an eye exam?

The frequency of your appointments depends on your visual health. If you don’t wear contacts or glasses, you should schedule appointments every two years. People who wear corrective lenses or who are over the age of 60 should schedule annual eye exams, according to the American Optometric Association. More frequent checkups might be needed for certain health conditions, such as diabetes or eye diseases. If you need to schedule an eye exam, contact our optometrist today.

  • What does it mean to have 20/20 vision?

The term “20/20” refers to the sharpness of the vision. The top number is the viewing distance between the eye chart and the patient. The bottom number refers to the line on the chart. It measures how much a person can read when they are 20 feet away from the chart. For more information on eye health, don't hesitate to contact an optometrist at Westgrove Vision Center today.

  • What products and services does Westgrove Vision Center offer?

At Westgrove Vision Center, we pride ourselves on providing quality vision care that caters to your needs. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, optometrists do three major things among other responsibilities: diagnose, manage, and treat conditions and diseases of the human eye and visual system, including examining eyes and prescribing corrective lenses.

Our optometrist office offers optical exams, pediatric eye care, general eye care, contact lenses, and designer frames. We accept a wide range of vision insurance plans to ensure you can get the care you need. Contact our team today to schedule an appointment.

  • Can I sleep in my contacts?

Even if you are using extended-wear lenses, it is best to remove your contacts when you go to sleep. Wearing your lenses while sleeping will increase your risk of an eye infection. Additionally, the contact lenses sit on the eye directly, which decreases the amount of oxygen available to the eye. If you need an optometrist for contact lenses or other eye care services, call Westgrove Vision Center today.

  • What insurance does Westgrove Vision Center accept?

Westgrove Vision Center accepts various vision insurance plans to ensure you get the care you need. Some of the insurance plans we accept are:

Avesis, CareCredit, Comp Benefits, Davis Vision, Eye Med, Medicare, NVA, Spectera, Superior Vision Care, Vision Service Plan (VSP), and more.
