Choose the Contact Lens Type That Fits Your Lifestyle
Our contact lenses are not just about improving your vision, they are about enhancing your lifestyle. With our wide range of lenses including:
- Soft Contacts:
Made of soft, flexible plastics to allow oxygen to pass through to the cornea
easier to adjust to. Are more comfortable than rigid gas-permeable lenses.
- Rigid Gas Permeable Contacts:
These are more durable and resistant to deposit buildup. They also tend to be less expensive over the life of the lens because of a longer life span than a soft contact lens. They are easier to handle and less likely to tear. They are initially not as comfortable as soft contacts as they can take a couple of weeks to get used to.
- Continuous Wear Contacts:
Available for overnight or continuous wear ranging from 1-6 nights up to 30 days. They are usually soft contact lenses made of flexible plastic to allow oxygen to pass through to the cornea. These very few rigid gas-permeable lenses are designed and approved for overnight wear. The length of continuous wear depends on lens type and evaluation of your tolerance for your overnight wear.
- Disposable Contacts:
Used once and discarded. Patients insert a brand-new pair of lenses each day. Some soft contact lenses are referred to as "disposable" by contact lens sellers when they’re actually for frequent or/ planned replacement.
- Hybrid Contacts:
Hybrids combine a rigid gas permeable center and a soft lens skirt rigid center that corrects farsightedness, nearsightedness, and astigmatism. They deliver clear, high-definition vision, even at night. The soft skirt surrounding the center provides the all-day comfort of a soft lens.
- Orthokeratology (Ortho-K):
This is a lens-fitting procedure that uses specially designed rigid gas permeable (RGP) contact lenses to change the curvature of the cornea to temporarily improve the eye's ability to focus on objects. They are primarily used for the correction of myopia (nearsightedness). Some Ortho-K lenses are prescribed only for daytime wear.
- Nighttime Ortho-K:
Overnight Ortho-K lenses are the most common type of Ortho-K. Overnight Ortho-K lenses are commonly prescribed to be worn while sleeping for at least 8 hours each night. They should be removed upon awakening and not worn during the day. The vision correction effect is temporary. They must continue to be worn every night or on some other prescribed maintenance schedule to maintain the treatment effect.
- Decorative (Plano) Contact Lenses:
Some contact lenses do not correct vision and are intended solely to change the appearance of the eyes. These lenses can temporarily change a brown-eyed person's eye color to blue. Decorative lenses don't correct vision. They are regulated by the FDA, just like corrective contact lenses.
- Scleral Contacts:
These are larger lenses made of gas-permeable material used to correct one’s vision to several conditions including:
- Keratoconus
- Post-refractive surgery corneal issues
- Ocular surface disease
- Dry eye
- Normal refractive errors
- Prosthetic Contacts:
Used to achieve an improved cosmetic appearance when an eye has a misshaped pupil. If two eyes appear different due to a pupil irregularity, prosthetic lenses can be designed to match the iris of the other eye.
We have a solution for every vision need. Each lens type offers unique features and benefits, ensuring you find the perfect fit for your lifestyle and vision requirements.
